Symposium Green meets White
Date: February 9th 2009
Location: Keygene Wageningen
Biotechnology: Green meets White
Synergy in innovation and application
In the Netherlands research community the White and Green biotech scientists and industry players are rather separated entities. This is unfortunate because several connections are relevant. For example, many of the high throughput biotech solutions are applicable in both Green and White Biotech and also the new focus on the bio-based and sustainable product development would greatly benefit from a Green and White Biotech collaboration. To stimulate the interaction between these two Biotech area’s the working group Green Biotechnology of the Dutch Biotechnology Society (NBV) organizes a stimulating symposium.
The symposium will take place at the headquarters of Keygene N.V. in Wageningen (www.keygene.com/). Apart from a number of inspiring presentations by specialists working the area of Green and White Biotech, and a network buffet, there is an opportunity to see the facilities of KeyGene in a guided tour.
